Oshana Police Warns Public Against Scammers During Back-to-School Season


OSHAKATI – The Namibian Police Force in the Oshana Region has issued a warning to the public, especially parents and guardians buying back-to-school supplies, to be vigilant against scammers. Inspector Thomas Aiyambo, Oshana NamPol’s Community Affairs Officer, raised concerns about the resurgence of scamming activities.



According to The Namibia Press Agency, there have been several reports of scamming in areas like Ongwediva and Ondangwa, where parents are misled into buying inexpensive school uniforms from dubious sources behind shopping centers. He cautioned against various scams, including misleading offers of cheaper goods and assistance requests, emphasizing the need for public vigilance to avoid being robbed or deceived.
