Kaya: The Kaya sector 4 field hosted, on May 17, 2025, the final of the interclass cup of the Kaya 2 basic education district, under the patronage of Barbila Sawadogo, provincial director in charge of basic education and non-formal education of Sanmatenga, and the presidency of Ms. Minoungou/Kima Solange, president of the special communal delegation of Kaya.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the inter-school football competition, part of the Organization of Sports, Culture and Leisure in Primary Schools (OSCLEP) of the basic education district of Kaya 2, began on January 8, 2025, with 42 teams competing. The competition reached its conclusion on Saturday, May 17, 2025, on the field of sector 4 of Kaya, with the final match between Kougrin-Louda A and Zargongo.

After a balanced first half of 20 minutes, Zargongo's team succumbed to pressure from their opponents in the second period, conceding three goals. The Kougrin-Louda A team climbed to the top step of the podium and was awarded the title of champion of the edition. They received a trophy, an envelope of 60,000 CFA francs, a set of jerseys, and a ball. Kougrin-Louda A thus succeeds Kougrin-Louda C, holders of the 2024 edition trophy.

The unsuccessful finalist, along with six other top teams, also received cash and in-kind prizes. Special prizes were awarded to the most deserving teams. Souleimane Sor©, head of the Kaya 2 basic education district, expressed satisfaction with how this edition unfolded. He congratulated all stakeholders and donors for the event's success.

The OSCLEP (National Organization for the Promotion of Education) of the Kaya 2 basic education district also includes cultural competitions. A ceremony to honor the most deserving students and those involved will be organized shortly, according to the district head.
