Sebba: The Sebba A Primary School team emerged victorious against Sebba B School in a thrilling penalty shootout (4-3) during the Organization of Sport and Culture in Primary Schools (OSCEP) final. The match, held in Sebba on Wednesday, May 21, ended in a goalless draw after regulation time, as reported by AIB.



According to Burkina Information Agency, the city of Sebba came alive with cultural and sporting activities organized by the Sebba Basic Education District on May 21, 2025. The football final, which saw Sebba “A” face Sebba “B,” drew a significant crowd, including students, teachers, parents, and local authorities. Both teams showcased determination and skill, ending the first half with a 0-0 scoreline.



As the match resumed, the teams continued to battle fiercely without altering the score. Ultimately, it was the nerve-wracking penalty shootout that decided the winner, with Sebba “A” securing victory by scoring 4 goals to Sebba “B”‘s 3. All four finalist teams were honored with awards, while other participants received incentives for their efforts.



Prior to the match, the chief inspector of the Sebba Bali Bako basic education district commended the organizers for ensuring the event ran smoothly and expressed gratitude to the attendees. He urged parents to support sports and cultural activities in primary schools, emphasizing the shared joy in children’s happiness.



Additionally, the district chief extended his thanks to the event’s sponsor, Boureima Ciss© Bary, a police inspector based in Ouagadougou, who was represented by Ms. Samboal Hindatou. She conveyed the sponsor’s commitment to supporting future editions and acknowledged the contributions of senior education officials, the FDS, and VDP of Sebba in making the event a success.
