Orodara – On Thursday, February 22, 2024, Emmanuel Konaté, the President of the special delegation of Orodara, led a meeting to discuss the municipality’s management and development efforts over the past year. The event marked an essential exercise in transparency and accountability, aligning with the General Code of local authorities, which mandates such reporting as a critical aspect of municipal governance.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the meeting served as a platform to review the progress of various development activities undertaken in the year 2022-2023. Konaté emphasized the significance of accountability, highlighting it as an opportunity for the municipal executive to detail the implementation of development projects and address any concerns encountered along the way. This process, he noted, also allows for a broader civic engagement, inviting community members to assess their contributions and suggest improvements for the municipality’s harmonious development.

The assembly, a first of its kind for the Orodara delegation, focused on the strides made in education, health, culture, and the enhancement of technical services operation. However, Konaté was candid about the challenges faced, including the need for further training among delegation members, issues with tax and duty collection, the ongoing security crisis, the lack of a revenue manager, and inadequate municipal police personnel.

Looking forward to 2024, the special delegation plans to persist in its infrastructure development and initiate more projects aimed at improving the livelihood of Orodara’s residents across various sectors.

Dano – In a ceremony held on Wednesday, February 22, 2024, the High Commissioner of Ioba province, Bernadette Adenyo née Sermé, officially inaugurated Moumouni Traoré as the new provincial treasurer in Dano.
