Orodara Municipal High School Clinches Victory in Kénédougou Provincial Director’s Cup

Kénédougou: The final of the first edition of the Kénédougou Provincial Director's Cup saw the Orodara Municipal High School emerge victorious with a 2-1 win over the Diongolo Traoré Provincial High School. The match, held on Saturday, April 12, 2025, concluded after two 30-minute halves, marking a significant triumph for Orodara. According to Burkina Information Agency, the event was conducted under the patronage of the Minister in charge of the Civil Service, represented by the chief of staff, Emmanuel Sorgho. The Director General of Real Estate Affairs and State Equipment, Djakalia Barro, served as the sponsor. The winning team was awarded the trophy, a financial prize of 50,000 CFA francs, a ball, a set of jerseys, and a gold medal. The Diongolo Traoré Provincial High School team, despite their loss, received 30,000 CFA francs, along with a set of jerseys, a ball, and a bronze medal. Special prizes were also distributed to all participating teams. Promoter Seydou Traoré, who is a former provincial dire ctor in charge of secondary education in Kénédougou, expressed satisfaction with the success of this inaugural edition, emphasizing its role in nurturing football talent in Kénédougou. He extended gratitude to Minister Mathias Traoré, the sponsor, and the High Commissioner of Kénédougou Province for their support, as well as to partners, the organizing committee, and all participating teams. Emmanuel Sorgho and Djakalia Barro conveyed their congratulations to the promoter for the initiative and committed to supporting future editions of the event.
