Orodara: Lieutenant-Colonel Lucie Fuwalagye Zongo/Kando Takes Over as Provincial Director of Environment in Kénédougou

In Orodara, the High Commissioner of the province of Kénédougou, Sakira Saïdou, presided over the transition ceremony between the outgoing and incoming provincial directors for the Environment on Thursday, October 19, 2023.

According to News Releases by Burkina Information News Agency, Lieutenant-Colonel of Water and Forests, Lucie Fuwalagye Zongo/Kando, has been appointed as the new provincial director in charge of the Environment of Kénédougou. She succeeds Hamadé Traoré, who has now been appointed as the provincial director of the Environment of Oubritenga. Lucie Fuwalagye Zongo/Kando was officially appointed by the Council of Ministers on October 4, 2023.

At the ceremony, outgoing director Hamadé Traoré extended his gratitude to his team for their support and expressed his readiness to assist the incoming director. The new director, Lucie Fuwalagye Zongo/Kando, conveyed her thanks to the country’s highest authorities, particularly her supervisory minister, for entrusting her with this role. She vowed to continue the work of her predecessor, whom she acknowledged as a competent worker. High Commissioner Sakira Saïdou congratulated the outgoing director for his service and outlined the challenges awaiting the new director in sustaining the accomplishments of her predecessor.
