Orodara: Dafani workers in mood again

Orodara, Workers at the Dafani Company have been observing a work stoppage since March 08, 2023 to protest against what appears to be a new demand for letters of explanation to a part personnel, after an initial crisis that was poorly resolved.

The hatchet is far from buried at Dafani Sa. The factory workers and the general management are once again at loggerheads.

As a reminder, on January 19, the workers had taken a work stoppage following letters of explanation sent to 28 agents for not having taken part in a safety day organized at the factory, the participation of which was supposed to be voluntary. .

But following a consultation meeting held on January 23, 2023, an agreement was reached between the two parties and the workers suspended their mood movement to resume activities.

In short, two months later, the problem came back again on the carpet. According to one of the workers’ leaders, anonymously, the current mood still follows explanatory letters sent by the general management to nine (09) staff representatives and eight (08) other workers.

This in connection with the past crisis. The latter, continues our confidant, would be accused of having closed the factory and summoned the agents not to work.

According to our interlocutor, it is these letters of explanation that are at the origin of the crisis currently prevailing in Dafani He concludes by saying that the workers are open to dialogue and ready to resume activities if their aspirations are taken into account by the general management, namely the pure and simple cancellation of the letters of explanation.

Seeking to join the general manager of Dafani for an appointment in order to have his version of the facts, this one through his secretariat let us know that he did not need “the press here. »

As we close these lines, it has come back to us that on the afternoon of Friday March 10, 2023, a mission from the board of directors of Dafani.Sa, made up of four (04) directors met with the all staff representatives on the issue from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.

According to our source, the debates were heated. But the two parties did not reach an agreement because each of them remained camped on its position.
