ORODARA – In a significant display of support for the Defense and Security Forces (FDS) and Defense Volunteers for the Fatherland (VDP), the Orodara Caisse Populaire has donated 600 gari kits and various other products valued at 450,000 FCFA. The donation ceremony, held in Kénédougou, was presided over by the High Commissioner of the province, Saïdou Sakira, and attended by top provincial defense and security officials.
According to Burkina Information Agency, Félicité Go, the donation took place on January 26, 2024, and included essential items such as sugar, coffee, and Soumbala. This contribution is part of the peace effort and serves to acknowledge the dedication and sacrifices of the FDS and VDP in securing the territory. Go emphasized that the donation reflects the Caisse populaire’s commitment to recognizing the hard work of these forces.
High Commissioner Saïdou Sakira lauded the Orodara Caisse Populaire for their civic engagement, noting that this wasn’t their first act of community support. On behalf of the beneficiaries, Sakira expressed deep gratitude for the donation, highlighting its significance in boosting the morale of the FDS and VDP personnel, who are relentlessly working to ensure public safety. He also encouraged others to follow the Caisse populaire’s example in supporting the defense forces.
The gesture by the Orodara Caisse Populaire continues a trend of solidarity towards the FDS and VDP in the Kénédougou province, following contributions from the provincial coordination of women in Kénédougou.
