The police members attached to Operation Restore deployed in gang ridden areas in the City of Cape Town District to reduce the number of unlicensed and prohibited firearms and drugs in circulation were sent their way to fulfil their duties to create a safe environment.

Major General Manci, Deputy Provincial Commissioner of the Western Cape addressed the members, encouraging them to fulfil their duties protecting each other. He reminded them that the communities they will serve depend on them to keep them safe.

In conclusion before sending them into the hotspots he encouraged them to remember the words of the South African Police Service Creed. “Don’t only say the words, let us go and live by it. The Lord is on your side”.

Those present witnessed the excitement with which committed and determined SAPS members departed to do what they do best, combatting crime.
