BOBO-DIOULASSO: The Bobo-Dioulasso Court of Appeal announced during a press conference the organization of Open Days (JPO) for all the city's courts from Thursday, June 26 to Friday, June 27, 2025, under the theme: "Justice and the construction of social peace." The event will be held within the courthouse.
According to Burkina Information Agency, these Open Days are organized under the high patronage of the Minister of Justice and Human Rights, responsible for Relations with Institutions. This initiative is part of implementing the National Criminal Policy, adopted on March 4, 2024, focusing on the strategic axis of making public justice services more psychologically accessible.
Besides the primary theme, the event will cover sub-themes such as community service and the contribution of mining companies to the socio-economic development of Burkina Faso through various conferences and panels. The primary goal is to raise awareness about the fundamental role of justice in conflict management and promoting lasting social peace.
The residents of Bobo-Dioulasso and nearby areas are encouraged to participate in this event, which is organized in their honor. According to the Attorney General at the Bobo Court of Appeal, Adama KAFANDO, information stands will be established to help the public better understand the functioning of the courts. These stands will include legal assistants, judicial police officers, Water and Forestry agents, and a space dedicated to REN-LAC.
The official opening ceremony is scheduled for Thursday, June 26, at 8 a.m. in the courtyard of the Bobo-Dioulasso Court of Appeal.
