Ombudsperson Defends Use of AI Advantages for Judiciary

Luanda: The Ombudsperson, Florbela Araujo, defended on Thursday, in Luanda, the use of the advantages of artificial intelligence for the development of the Justice System in Angola. Speaking at the opening of the National Conference on "The impact of artificial intelligence on the justice system in Angola," the official stated that, without the appropriate Artificial Intelligence tools, no association and institution can develop. According to Angola Press News Agency, the event was organized by the Association of Women in Legal Careers, where the magistrate highlighted the growth in the participation of women in leadership and political positions. Florbela Araújo emphasized the importance of continuing the journey towards broader representation in various areas of social life and called for unity among women in legal careers to support each other across sectors. The magistrate further encouraged society to foster a culture of reporting crimes experienced daily and emphasized the importance of defending huma n dignity. She reminded attendees that the Constitution of the Republic of Angola upholds human dignity and equality of rights between men and women. "And we have this fundamental role of defending the equality of rights between men and women," she stated.
