In other results, Health NC suffered an 11-22 loss to the Omaheke Regional Council, while Golden Girls secured an 18-14 win over Talismanus Celtic. Afroquins bounced back with a 33-7 display against Health NC, and Golden Girls earned their second victory of the period by beating Tsjaka 22-13. Omaheke Netball League Public Relations Officer, Kaejarukapo Ngurunjoka, explained to Nampa that the league was established to provide a standardised, competitive, and socially constructive environment for women. Ngurunjoka stated, 'We are trying our best, despite challenges, to give these young women an opportunity to showcase their talent.' She emphasised that the league plays a vital role in providing positive alternatives for young women in Gobabis, steering them away from the streets despite logistical hurdles. 'These teams are facing many challenges ranging from transportation, training equipment, and venues among others. Funding is a concern as most teams don't have sponsorships, and the league relies on registration fees to operate,' she added.
