Kaya: The 15th edition of the Social Cohesion Cup, organized by the Youth Association for Love and Solidarity (AJAS), concluded in Kaya with Olympique de Kaya emerging victorious. The final match, played on the field of Sector 4, saw Olympique de Kaya defeat Avenir FC with a score of 3-1.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the tournament commenced on January 5, 2025, coinciding with Solidarity Day, and concluded on May 25, 2025. Eight teams from the province participated in this edition, showcasing the spirit of teamwork and sportsmanship. Colonel-Major Oumarou Ou©draogo, president of the Burkinabe Football Federation, expressed his satisfaction, noting the collective effort displayed during the final match.
As winners, Olympique de Kaya was awarded a financial package of 100,000 FCFA, a set of jerseys, and a ball, along with the tournament trophy. They also secured special prizes for top scorer, best goalkeeper, and best player. Avenir FC, the runners-up, received a trophy, jerseys, a ball, and 75,000 CFA francs. All participating teams were given participation bonuses.
AJAS President Adama Derm© expressed his contentment with the successful completion of the 2025 activities. The association focuses on the psychosocial support of widows and the education of orphans in Kaya. Derm© emphasized the importance of fraternity and fair play throughout the tournament, which aligns with the association's objectives.
