Okarindi: Okarindi Komutati FC, currently competing in the Kunene Regional Football League Second Division, has announced the appointment of an interim head coach following the temporary absence of its technical leadership.
According to Namibia Press Agency, the club confirmed that head coach Tjituka Ndjai is away on duty with a regional team in Outjo, while assistant coach Joshua Undari is unavailable due to other commitments. The situation prompted management to act swiftly to ensure that the team's preparations and performance remain on course.
Cleff Kavirijeta Tjiposa has been appointed as interim head coach and will take charge of the squad until the return of the club's primary coaching staff. Tjiposa will lead the squad during a crucial stage of the campaign, with the team currently sitting second on the league table with 31 points after 14 matches. They trail league leaders Kunene NamPol FC, who have accumulated 36 points.
He is expected to oversee training sessions and guide the team through upcoming fixtures in the competitive second division league. Club spokesperson Judha Muharukua said the decision was necessary to maintain stability within the team.
'Okarindi Komutati FC has appointed an interim coach to ensure that the team continues to function effectively,' Muharukua said. He further appealed to supporters for patience and unity during the transition period.
'We kindly ask for understanding and patience. Coach Tjiposa will be with the team until our coaches are available again,' he added. The appointment comes at a crucial stage of the season, where consistency is key for teams aiming to perform well in the league. Players are expected to adapt quickly to the interim leadership as they continue their campaign.
Muharukua also urged fans and the local community to rally behind the team and its new interim coach. 'We thank our fans and the community for their unwavering loyalty and support. Let's get behind coach Tjiposa and the boys,' he said.
The club emphasised that the arrangement is temporary, and that normal technical leadership will resume once both coaches return.
