WINDHOEK – Ohangwena Governor Sebastian Ndeitunga emphasized the importance of maintaining a strong relationship with Angola, describing it as a crucial neighbor and sister country. In a conversation with Nampa on Thursday, the former police chief highlighted the significance of friendly ties between Ohangwena, other border regions, and Angola.
According to The Namibia Press Agency, Angola played a vital role in Southern Africa’s revolution, contributing significantly to the liberation of Namibia and other countries in the region. His comments come ahead of a high-level visit to the Ohangwena Region by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for International Relations and Cooperation, Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah, and Angolan Minister of External Relations, Ambassador Téte António. The visit aims to reinforce peaceful co-existence and address issues concerning Namibian farmers with livestock grazing in Angola.
