Mogtedo: The High Commissioner of Koulpelogo Province, Seydou Ouedraogo, officially launched civic and patriotic training activities for middle school and high school students on Saturday, January 17, 2026. The ceremony took place during the flag-raising ceremony at the Ouargaye Provincial High School.
According to Burkina Information Agency, in his address, the High Commissioner invited the participating students to follow this training with wisdom, discipline, and diligence, emphasizing the importance of civic and patriotic education in building responsible citizens committed to the nation.
For the occasion, Seydou Ouedraogo was accompanied by a delegation composed of the Presidents of Special Delegations, provincial directors, and the head of the Ouargaye gendarmerie detachment. Teachers from the various institutions involved in the training were also present.
It should be noted that this first phase of civic and patriotic training began on December 18, 2025, in the province of Koulpelogo. It involves more than 800 students spread across two zones, namely Yargatenga and Ouargaye.
This initiative aims to strengthen among students the values of civic-mindedness, patriotism, discipline, and respect for the symbols of the State.
