Odendaalsrus Police Seeking Assistance to Locate Missing Woman

The Odendaalsrus Police are appealing to the community for assistance in locating 49-year-old Nanaki Baepi, who has been missing since Friday, 08 December 2023. Baepi was last seen by her children when she left her residence on Taljaard Street in Odendaalsrus to make a quick visit to a nearby filling station, intending to buy bread and snuff while wearing her night dress.

According to South African Police Service, Baepi's husband, upon realizing her absence, contacted relatives in Bothaville, Allanridge, Thabong, and Kutloanong but was unable to find her. He officially reported her missing at the Odendaalsrus Police Station on 09 December 2023.

Witnesses reported last seeing Baepi wearing a night dress (gown) and described her as having brown braiding hair, one upper gold tooth, one lower gold tooth, and wearing earrings. Additionally, she was spotted at a taxi rank and the Pick n Pay in Odendaalsrus CBD.

Detective Lt Colonel Bennie Strydom of the Odendaalsrus Detective Services is leading the investigation. The police are urging anyone with information regarding Baepi's whereabouts to contact Detective Strydom at 082 301 2797 or Crime Stop at 08600 10111.
