Occupiers of Boulsa Technical High School Site Ordered to Vacate Premises

Namentenga: The High Commissioner of the province of Namentenga, Adama Conseiga, has ordered residents who built on the grounds of the Boulsa technical and vocational high school to vacate the premises. This directive, issued on Thursday, August 14, 2025, aims to facilitate the construction of a fence around the school.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the High Commissioner informed the occupants that heavy machinery would soon demolish the buildings on the site. The measure is intended to protect the project funded by the Kuils© regional special delegation.

Adama Conseiga stated that there is no alternative but to remove the affected structures to complete the work on schedule. The Kuils© regional special delegation has secured funding to construct a garage, a six-classroom building, an administration building, and a boundary wall for the Boulsa vocational and technical high school.

Consultations have occurred between landowners, the administration, and Naaba Sonr©, the traditional leader of the Boulsa canton, to ensure the project's successful implementation. The provincial directors of police and education have also urged the illegal occupants to vacate the premises for the benefit and cohesion of the region.

According to the president of the Boulsa municipal special delegation, several press releases have been issued to urge the affected residents to comply. A total of 16 homes are impacted by the planned earthworks.
