Nyeri – The Ministry of Small Business Development has cautioned the public about multiple fraudulent Facebook accounts purporting to be associated with the Minister, Stella Ndabeni-Abrahams.

According to Kenya News Agency, these fake accounts have been created using the Minister’s identity, with the sole intention of scamming innocent citizens, especially targeting small business owners. The Ministry strongly condemned this fraudulent use of the Minister’s name, profile, and pictures for creating these deceptive accounts.

The Ministry made it clear that neither the Minister nor the department would ever ask for ‘upfront fees’ from members of the public in exchange for funding or business opportunities. Over 25 fake accounts impersonating the Minister have been identified. The only legitimate Facebook account for Minister Ndabeni-Abrahams is confirmed to be https://www.facebook.com/stella.ndabeni.

The Ministry urged anyone who has fallen victim to these fraudulent activities to report the matter to the police immediately. These fake accounts have been reported to Facebook for necessary action.
