Nyeri County Welcomes New Chief Officers for Lands, Housing, and Transport Departments

Nyeri—Deputy Governor David Kinaniri today introduced two new chief officers who will serve in the Nyeri County government. The officers are set to be the accounting heads for the Departments of Lands, Housing, Physical Planning and Urban Development as well as the Department of Transport, Public Works, Infrastructure, and Energy.

According to a new release by Kenya News Agency, the officers have completed all requisite processes, including vetting by the County Assembly, and will begin their duties immediately. Fredrick Macharia takes the position from Beatrice Koech, who is a physical planner by profession. Ann Magdaline will succeed Julius Ringera, retiring after a decade of service. Deputy Governor Kinaniri encouraged the new officers to prioritize hard work, transparency, and accountability and warned against any form of corruption.
