The Special Delegation of the commune (DSC) of Nouna held its second ordinary session of the year 2023 on Friday October 6, 2023, to examine the socio-economic situation of the hostels, the bus station, the garden of the mayor and the request for the generator for the benefit of the Medical Center with surgical antenna (CMA) in the city of Nouna.

This 2023 session of the Special Municipal Delegation (DSC) is being held in a rather specific context, impacted by the security situation.

The discussions focused on the socio-economic situation of the hostels, the bus station, the mayor’s garden and the request for the generator for the benefit of the Medical Center with surgical antenna (CMA) in the city of Nouna.

The president of the special delegation of the commune of Nouna, Souleymane Tiono indicated that some units are closed, others have operating difficulties and many have payment arrears.

‘It goes without saying that with the stakeholders concerned we can discuss these different questions and delib
erate on these aspects,’ he said.

The secretary general of Nouna town hall, Harouna Zerbo gave the floor to the managers of these units, so that they could present the situation which prevails at the moment.

After the presentation of the economic situation of these three units, the president of the special municipal delegation urged them to make more efforts in their work.

The managers of the mayor’s garden and that of the station inn have promised to make written proposals, in order to be able to honor the arrears and continue activities.

However, the one from the popular hostel with payment arrears preferred an amicable termination of the contract while requesting an evaluation of the investments.

Through discussions, the Nouna DSC unanimously adopted the termination of the contract between the town hall and the popular inn.

The request from the head doctor of the Nouna health district relating to the generator was approved and it is assigned to the medical center with the general approval of the memb
ers of the special delegation.

The president of the Nouna DSC, Mr. Tiono, thanked all participants for their sense of responsibility and their resilience alongside vulnerable populations.
