Noumbiel: The High Commissioner of the Noumbiel Province, Drissa Hema, officially launched the activities of the project entitled "Promoting the culture of living together, a guarantee of social cohesion and peace for a prosperous Noumbiel". The initiative aims to strengthen community living and social cohesion over a six-month period. According to Burkina Information Agency, the project is co-financed by the Cultural and Tourism Development Fund (FDCT) of the Ministry in charge of Communication, Culture, Arts and Tourism, under the PADIC framework, with support from Swiss cooperation in Burkina Faso. The theatre company "DA MAAR" of Batie (CTD) leads the project as its beneficiary, and the launch ceremony witnessed the presence of administrative, customary, and religious authorities. Drissa Hema, who presided over the ceremony, expressed his satisfaction with the initiative's impact, highlighting a play staged specifically for promoting social cohesion. "The theatre is a mirror of society and each of us wi ll recognize ourselves in this play," he stated, emphasizing the importance of cultivating a culture of tolerance and acceptance for sustained peace. He further elaborated that peace and social cohesion are essential for local development, stating, "A locality that wants to be a model of development must accept the melting pot." Alphonse Some, president of the "DA MAAR" theatre company, outlined the project's goals to enhance social cohesion across the province's five communes through advocacy activities, forum theatres, panels, educational talks, and public conferences over the six-month period. The provincial director in charge of Culture for Noumbiel, Fassoha Some, pledged technical support, assuring, "We are fully prepared to support them in order to ensure the proper implementation of the planned program."
