Noumbiel: The High Commissioner of Noumbiel Province, Drissa Hema, presided over the first rotating flag-raising ceremony of the year on Monday, January 5, 2026, at the Batie High Commission. The ceremony brought together all the constituted bodies of the province, upholding the tradition at the start of the new year. According to Burkina Information Agency, the province's top official extended wishes for health, prosperity, happiness, and peace to all the people of Noumbiel. Following the ceremony, Drissa Hema reviewed the actions undertaken during the past year, noting that "the year 2025 was marked by challenges, but also by encouraging successes." He emphasized the collective efforts towards stability and security within the province.

For the new year, he urged the people to remain united, mobilized, and determined to meet the challenges ahead. Additionally, Mr. Hema presented certificates to nine business operators for their contributions to the projects undertaken during the past year. He encouraged them to continue their efforts and invited other stakeholders to follow their example for the smooth running of the province.
