NORTHERN REGION — The Northern Regional Youth Council (CRJ-N), in collaboration with the Support Unit for Decentralization and Citizen Participation (CADEPAC), recently concluded a five-day training session aimed at enhancing the skills of 50 young entrepreneurs in the region. The program, which ran from July 23 to 27, 2024, focused on a variety of essential business skills.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the regional director of youth entrepreneurship who led the training, the initiative was designed to equip young men and women from the four provinces of the Northern region with the necessary tools for successful socio-professional integration. Participants engaged in comprehensive learning modules that covered the fundamentals of establishing and managing a business, creating effective business plans, and exploring financing options.
The training also delved into modern business strategies, including digital entrepreneurship, marketing, and business development. Tassembédo emphasized the importance of continual support and regular communication with regional entrepreneurship offices to further aid the young entrepreneurs in their ventures. He highlighted the commitment to providing ongoing advice, potential credit opportunities, and assistance in crafting detailed business plans.
Kadidiatou Nongma Ouédraogo, president of the Northern Regional Youth Council, lauded the success of the training. She acknowledged the significant support from CADEPAC and urged the participants to apply their new knowledge practically to advance their entrepreneurial ambitions.
Representing the trainees, Bibata Bélèm from Loroum province expressed gratitude for the opportunity. She noted the common challenges young entrepreneurs face, such as limited financial resources and inadequate training, and commended the training for addressing these issues.
The initiative marks a proactive step by regional leaders to foster an environment conducive to business creation and growth among the youth in the Northern region.
