Customary leaders of the North region invited on Sunday, June 18, 2023, the worthy sons and daughters of the locality, to enlist massively in the ranks of the Volunteers for the Defense of the Fatherland (VDP) to defend the land of their ancestors.

Members of the Northern Patriots Movement (MPN) held direct exchanges with customary notables this Sunday, June 18, 2023 in the royal court of the kingdom of Yatenga.

The agenda was to seek the support of customary leaders to sensitize the sons and daughters of the region so that they become more involved in the operations to reconquer the territory undertaken by the Combatant Forces.

Indeed, the security situation in the North region in recent days is very worrying, despite the multiple actions.

For the Patriots of the North, there needs to be a frank collaboration between the populations and the FDS and VDP to stem the phenomenon.

This is why they approached customary leaders, very influential personalities in society.

For Rassem Naaba Yémdé, the defense of the homeland is not the sole object of the Defense and Security Forces, but the business of all the worthy sons and daughters of Burkina.

“The recruitment of VDPs is an opportunity for each Burkinabè to prove their love for our dear homeland. I invite every notable here present to enlist as VDP and bring their sons to do the same so that together we can reclaim the land of our ancestors,” he said.

During these exchanges, a small course in the history of the resistance of Naaba Kango, great King of the Kingdom of Yatenga against the attempted penetration of the colonizer was told by a notable.
