BITTOU — On Thursday, November 2, 2023, residents from the village of Nohao who live outside the area have made a significant contribution by donating motorcycles to the Volunteers for the Defense of the Fatherland (VDP) in Bittou.

The handover ceremony took place at the town hall of Bittou, where four motorcycles were given to the local VDP.

According to Burkina Information Agency, The President of the special delegation of Bittou, Mohamed Lamine Diabaté, conducted the handover in front of the local populace. Mr. Diabaté praised the donors for their support and called for more assistance for the Defense and Security Forces and the VDP, highlighting the significance of their role in the Center-East region of the country. The representative of the donors expressed satisfaction with the contribution, sharing the community’s hope for an end to terrorism in the region.
