Windhoek: The Namibia Investment Promotion Board (NIPDB) concluded phase one of its national projects media tour with a visit to 'Your Kitchen,' a N.dollars 20 million investment project in Windhoek, on Tuesday. 'Your Kitchen' is an innovative enterprise employing advanced culinary technologies and methods that are widely used in Europe and the United States.
According to Namibia Press Agency, the tour was led by 'Your Kitchen' managing partner Alice Rigoldi, who highlighted the unique aspects of the project. The company, inaugurated in September 2023 and founded by Italian shareholders, employs cutting-edge techniques such as vacuum technology, sous vide cooking, and blast chilling. Rigoldi emphasized the project's reliance on Namibian suppliers for all ingredients, working with multiple vendors to meet their large-scale production needs.
The company supports local small-scale producers and currently produces an average of 1,700 products weekly. They aim to deliver up to 50,000 meals annually for the mining sector, with plans to expand operations to Arandis. Additionally, 'Your Kitchen' serves eight lodges nationwide. Rigoldi also noted that one of their fruit and vegetable vendors exclusively provides Namibian-grown produce, and all meat is sourced from local producers committed to quality standards.
Currently, 'Your Kitchen' employs 14 individuals. The NIPDB's media tour has included visits to various projects across Namibia, such as the Kelp Blue project in Lderitz, Namibia Berries in Divundu, the PyroNam biochar project in Otjiwarongo, and the Otjimbele grape production farm at Etunda in the Omusati Region, showcasing substantial investments in different sectors.
