Windhoek: The Namibia Institute of Public Management and Administration (Nipam) will host the second African Management Development Institutes' Network (AMDIN) Annual Conference in Windhoek from 18 to 20 May 2026. The three-day conference will be held under the theme 'Transformative Public Service Leadership for Sustainable Development and Inclusive Growth in Africa.'
According to Namibia Press Agency, Nipam marketing and business development manager Johannes Hatutale stated that the conference will gather delegates from more than 30 African countries, including senior public officials, policymakers, and institutional leaders. Hatutale emphasized that AMDIN is a pan-African network focused on strengthening public sector leadership and governance across the continent.
Hatutale explained that the conference aims to facilitate collaboration, knowledge exchange, and strategic dialogue to enhance public sector performance across Africa. Discussions will center on innovative public administration approaches, leadership development, digital transformation in governance, and strengthening institutional capacity for sustainable development.
Institutions, researchers, and organizations have been encouraged to participate by submitting academic papers and securing exhibition space. Hatutale announced a Call for Papers, inviting submissions aligned with conference themes such as public sector leadership, governance innovation, and institutional capacity building. The deadline for abstract submissions is 31 March 2026, presenting a chance to engage in continental dialogue and share best practices.
