Ninga’s CSPS to Undergo Community-Led Renovation

Yatenga/zogore: Local populations and residents of Ninga and surrounding areas will soon have an ideal setting for quality care by mobilizing contributions to renovate their health and social promotion center (CSPS), AIB has observed.

According to Burkina Information Agency, this is a concrete sign of community commitment to quality healthcare in this health district within the municipality of Zogore. Demonstrating resilience, the community is showing the way forward in this area, which has long suffered from insecurity. Through voluntary contributions, the community has raised approximately 2 million CFA francs for the reconstruction of the primary healthcare center (CSPS) that was destroyed during the forced eviction of the beneficiary villages in 2023.

In this spirit of solidarity, the population of the CSPS coverage area, which is attached to the Ouahigouya health district, have combined their efforts to undertake work to give the CSPS a new look through ceiling work, electrification, painting, tiling, ventilation of the infirmary, maternity ward, accommodation for healthcare staff and rehabilitation of the fountain.

"Our nurses are fighting despite the difficult conditions for our care, we as beneficiaries must get involved to support them because everything cannot come from the State," said the representative of the people, Mahamady Belem. He also thanked all those who worked to make this happen and then invited those of goodwill to come forward more to improve the quality of care in their health center.
