Niaogho Meeting Aims to Boost Youth Employment and Entrepreneurship

Ouagadougou: The Secretary General of the Niaogho Town Hall, Ambroise Bayili, representing the Prefect, President of the Special Delegation, led a meeting on Friday with associations, cooperatives, youth leaders, and members of Village Development Committees (CVD). The meeting aimed to promote the Service for the Promotion of Professional Integration of Young People (SPIPJ).

According to Burkina Information Agency, the objective of the meeting was to introduce the SPIPJ to local stakeholders and to strengthen their involvement in supporting young people towards employment and entrepreneurship. In his opening address, Bayili praised the mobilization of the participants and invited them to take ownership of the initiatives in favor of youth.

He emphasized that community organizations are crucial for local development as they contribute to the guidance, mobilization, and direction of initiatives for the benefit of young people and communities. In the current context, Bayili called on stakeholders to engage in a collective dynamic, focusing on endogenous initiatives capable of sustainably improving the living conditions of populations.

During the meeting, two key presentations were delivered. Aminata Akodum presented on the SPIPJ, outlining its missions, areas of intervention, and services offered to young people. The second presentation by Sinamba Geremi highlighted the vocational training and funding opportunities available to young people, along with the eligibility requirements and application procedures.

The discussion that followed allowed participants to ask questions, express concerns, and make suggestions for enhancing the implementation of SPIPJ's initiatives. This initiative underscores the commitment of the Niaogho municipal authorities to promote youth employment and strengthen their economic independence through programs tailored to local realities.

The meeting, which started at 9:00 a.m., concluded around noon, with the Secretary General expressing gratitude to the participants for their attendance and engagement.
