WINDHOEK: Elijah Ngurare, a Swapo Party parliamentary candidate, underscored the necessity for job creation and infrastructure development during his address in Windhoek’s Samora Machel district on Saturday. Emphasizing the importance of the upcoming five years, Ngurare urged support for the Swapo Party’s presidential candidate, focusing on performance and service delivery as outlined in the party’s 2025-2030 election manifesto.
According to Namibia News Agency, Ngurare, a former Swapo Party Youth League leader, highlighted the creation of employment opportunities for the youth in the Khomas Region as an urgent intervention. He proposed the rehabilitation of the Ramatex factory as a key initiative to address youth unemployment, suggesting that unemployed youth and local expertise in the Khomas Region could be utilized for this endeavor. Ngurare emphasized the national interest in operationalizing Ramatex to benefit the local population.

e in Windhoek, suggesting that townlands could be used for food production, which has the potential to create jobs. He called for deliberate allocation of resources to address socio-economic challenges in Samora Machel and other constituencies within the Khomas region. Ngurare commended the Swapo-led government’s efforts to establish a Regional and Constituency Development Fund aimed at financing local development projects.
Ngurare expressed confidence that these initiatives would be implemented swiftly, aligning with the party’s commitment to service delivery in its election manifesto.
