Ngoma Police Open Inquest After Discovery of Lifeless Body

Ngoma: The Namibian Police Force (NamPol) at Ngoma in the Zambezi region on Wednesday opened an inquest after the lifeless body of a Zambian national was discovered at Simwambo river in the area of Sichombe village.

According to Namibia Press Agency, the Namibian Police Force's incident report detailed that the deceased man, Chipango Iseke, allegedly left Munsu village on Monday, where he was employed, and traveled to Sichombe village, never to return.

'Iseke's lifeless body was discovered on Wednesday by a cattle herder at Simwambo river stream in the area of Sichombe village of Ikaba area in the Kabbe South Constituency. Physical severe injuries were observed on the deceased's body, and it is suspected to be of a crocodile attack," the report read.

The body was transported to the Katima Mulilo state mortuary for an autopsy to be conducted. His next of kin were informed, and police investigations continue.
