NGO WHH Donates Autonomous Water Station to Bittou Community

BITTOU — The NGO WHH has provided an autonomous water station to the internally displaced persons (IDPs) and host populations of Sector 5 in Bittou, enhancing local access to clean water. The installation, which was officially handed over in a ceremony on Friday, August 2, 2024, was attended by prominent local officials including the prefect, Mohamed Lamine Diabaté.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the project, which cost an estimated 15,000,000 FCFA, aims to improve the living conditions of both IDPs and local residents by providing a sustainable water supply. The autonomous station, constructed by WHH specifically for this community, marks a significant step towards addressing water scarcity issues in the region.

The event saw the Bittou PDS expressing gratitude towards the WHH project team and all stakeholders involved. "We wish the beneficiaries good use," he stated, highlighting the community's appreciation for the support.
