Kossi: An NGO offers equipment to the Nouna health district. The NGO CARE and its partner Wu Pakuw©, this Tuesday, May 27, 2025, are donating a large batch of medical-technical equipment, medicines, and medical consumables, worth more than 5,000,000 CFA francs, to the Nouna health district. The ceremony was chaired by the High Commissioner of Kossi Province, Noufo Demb©l©.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the NGO CARE and its partner Wu Pakuw©, a farmers' association funded by the Regional Humanitarian Fund for West and Central Africa (FHRAOC) project, provided the donation. The medical aid includes a significant quantity of medical-technical equipment, medicines, and medical consumables aimed at supporting the healthcare services in the Nouna region.
The project manager, Inoussa Kiemd©, estimated the total value of the donation at more than 5,000,000 CFA francs. Upon receiving the generous contribution, Noufo Dembel©, the High Commissioner of Kossi Province, expressed his gratitude to the NGO CARE and its partners, acknowledging their vital assistance to the resilient population of Nouna, which lies within the intervention area in Kossi.
The NGO CARE focuses on three main areas: food security and livelihoods, protection from gender-based violence (GBV), and health and nutrition. Dr. Dieudonn© Kiet©ga, representing the chief physician of the Nouna health district, expressed hope for continued collaboration with the NGO, encouraging others to emulate their support for the benefit of the local population.
On behalf of the beneficiaries, Abb© Ren© Simboro, the first deputy of the special delegation of the commune of Nouna, expressed his delight at the donation. He urged the district to utilize the resources effectively and ensure they reach the most vulnerable people.
