Walvis Bay: A New Zealand citizen was apprehended on Saturday at the PN Sacharia Naval Base in Walvis Bay, Erongo region, for allegedly taking unauthorized photographs of a military vessel. The Namibian Police Force’s weekend crime report indicates that the 47-year-old man entered the military base around 18:00 and took pictures without permission.

According to Namibia Press Agency (NAMPA), the individual was later released on warning. In a separate incident in Walvis Bay, a resident of East Meersig reported a burglary where items valued at N.dollar 20,900, including a laptop, cellphone, and cash, were stolen. To date, no recoveries or arrests have been made in connection with the theft.

Police investigations are ongoing in both cases.
