New Provincial Director of Primary Education Commits to Loyalty and Integrity

Ouagadougou: The Secretary General of the Gourma Province, Yaya Kone, installed Ahadi Idani as the new provincial director in charge of primary education in Fada N'Gourma. Appointed by the Council of Ministers on October 9, 2025, Idani, who is the inspector of primary education and non-formal literacy, officially assumed his duties on October 28, 2025.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the installation ceremony was attended by representatives from various institutions, education stakeholders, and supporters of the newly appointed officials. Idani expressed his gratitude to the country's highest authorities and the Minister in charge of Basic Education for their trust in him. He pledged to serve with loyalty, integrity, and a commitment to excellence.

Idani paid tribute to his predecessor, Kamimana Singbeogo, commending the qualities that characterized his management. He acknowledged the challenges ahead, particularly in implementing educational reforms and addressing the needs of internally displaced students. He emphasized the importance of solidarity among colleagues and expressed his intention to focus on constructive change and results-oriented culture.

Singbeogo, after three years and two months in office, reported significant achievements. Under his leadership, access to and coverage of schools improved, with 14 school complexes completed and a rise in the primary school certificate success rate from 68.58% in 2022 to 91.31% in 2025. Singbeogo expressed satisfaction in his contributions, feeling he had "played his part."

The Secretary General, Yaya Kone, praised Singbeogo for his accomplishments, attributing them to his collaborative approach. He encouraged Idani to continue this momentum and assured him of the administration's support in providing necessary resources to achieve objectives. Kone reminded the director of the importance of effective management to ensure good results.

The ceremony concluded with congratulations, encouragements, and a commitment from educational stakeholders to tackle upcoming challenges.
