Sissili: The new head of the Basic Education District (CEB) of Leo, Edouard Konditamde, is committed to giving new impetus to the education sector.
According to Burkina Information Agency, Edouard Konditamde pledged during his assumption of duties to work towards revitalizing the local education sector. The handover ceremony was held at Leo Town Hall and attended by the Provincial Director of Preschool, Primary, and Non-Formal Education for Sissili, Soungalo Traore, along with members of the special delegation, community leaders, educational supervisors, and teachers. The event was presided over by Kassoum Koalaga, President of the Special Delegation of the Urban Commune.
Prefect Koalaga officially installed Edouard Konditamde, an inspector of primary and non-formal education, as the new head of the Basic Education District of Leo, on behalf of the Minister of Basic Education, Literacy, and the Promotion of National Languages.
The outgoing head of the Basic Education Center, Abdramane Nignan, handed over his duties, expressing a "sense of duty fulfilled" and offered his best wishes to Konditamde for the ongoing educational mission in the district.
Edouard Konditamde expressed his understanding of the responsibilities of his new position and emphasized the importance of a collective approach, stating, "No leader succeeds alone. The success of our constituency will be collective or it will not be." He highlighted that his governance would focus on continuous engagement with stakeholders and a relentless pursuit of efficiency.
The provincial director of Education, Soungalo Traore, advised the new district chief to embrace dynamism, participatory management, and humility in his role. PDS Koalaga congratulated Mr. Nignan for his contributions to education and within the special delegation and encouraged the entire educational community and partners to support the new CEB head in achieving the objectives of quality and access to basic education in Sissili.
