Gourcy: A new football tournament, the "Faisal Service International" Super Cup, was officially launched in the city of Naaba Yad©ga. The announcement was made during a press conference on August 1, 2026, attracting football fans and media representatives from the Yaadga Region.

According to Burkina Information Agency, promoter Faisal Mandsurrounded and his team emphasized the tournament's goal of fostering "a space for meeting, fraternity, discovering talent, promoting civic values, but also bringing together businesses, institutions, young people, and populations for the construction of a stronger Burkina Faso." The competition offers a prize of 1 million CFA francs for the winner.

The CEO of Faisal Service International expressed hopes that the tournament would become an annual benchmark event in the Yaadga Region, potentially expanding to the national level. The event is expected to reveal talent, promote youth entrepreneurship, and strengthen community ties.

The tournament will feature twelve teams from the provinces of Passor©, Yatenga, and Zondoma, divided into four groups of three. The matches will commence on August 9th at Place de la Nation in Gourcy. The organizing committee encouraged teams to practice fair play and adhere to competition rules.

In response to questions from journalists, the organizers assured that all necessary measures would be implemented to ensure the smooth running of the event. They called on the community to unite in a spirit of solidarity for the success of this inaugural edition.

Local traditional chiefs attended the press conference, offering their blessings to this initiative by the young entrepreneur. The tournament winner, receiving the million-dollar prize, will be announced on September 5, 2026.
