Freetown: The newly appointed Country Director of EduNations Inc., Rev. Kandeh Koroma, has paid a courtesy visit to the Ministry of Gender and Children's Affairs (MoGCA), reaffirming the organization's commitment to supporting the Ministry's Medium-Term National Development Plan (MTNDP) targets.
According to Sierra Leone News Agency, Rev. Koroma emphasized the importance of formally engaging key government institutions, particularly the Ministry of Gender and Children's Affairs, to strengthen relationships and advance shared mandates. 'We must maintain strong collaboration with the Ministry of Gender and Children's Affairs to achieve national development objectives, particularly in gender equality and child protection,' he stated.
Receiving him, the Permanent Secretary, Mrs. Aminata Y. Sannoh, appreciated EduNations' longstanding support in promoting child rights, access to education in remote communities, and collaboration with the Ministry. She reaffirmed the Ministry's open-door policy for development partners. 'The Ministry remains committed to fostering partnerships that contribute meaningfully to national development. We value EduNations' support and look forward to stronger ties,' Mrs. Sannoh noted.
The Director of Policy and Planning, Mr. Ibrahim Kamara, reiterated the Ministry's readiness to enhance Service Level Agreements with partners and improve communication systems for timely feedback and effective coordination. The EduNations delegation was led by Mr. Isaac Boima, while the engagement was facilitated by Mr. Joseph Dennis Koroma, NGO Desk Officer at the Ministry.
The visit marks a renewed phase of collaboration between EduNations and the Ministry of Gender and Children's Affairs, focused on strengthening policy implementation, improving service delivery, and advancing the welfare of women and children across Sierra Leone.
