N’Dorola CEB Concludes Activities Highlighting Patriotism and Social Cohesion

Kenedougou: The Basic Education District (CEB) of N'Dorola concluded its primary school sports, cultural, and leisure activities (OSCLEP) on May 8 and 9, 2026, emphasizing patriotism and social cohesion. The event featured a series of activities that brought together students, educators, and community members in a celebration of talent and unity.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the festivities began with cultural performances that included playback, dance, balafon, and drawing, providing students with a platform to showcase their artistic skills. These performances set the tone for the event, underscoring the importance of cultural expression in fostering community ties.

The second day of the event featured an aerobics session, various athletics events, and the much-anticipated football finals held at the "A" school field in N'Dorola. In the girls' competition, SEfina triumphed over sector 5 with a score of 1-0. Meanwhile, the boys' final between SEfina and K´k´ ended in a 1-1 draw, with K´k´ ultimately clinching victory 5-4 on penalties.

Djakaridja Hema Ouattara, the general manager of SOSUCO and the sponsor of the ceremony, commended the role of sports and culture in nurturing responsible and patriotic citizens. Dahourou Kam, Head of the CEB of N'Dorola, lauded the dedication of education stakeholders and noted the significant advancement of women's football in the district.

Boro DEsirE, chairman of the OSCLEP executive office, reported that 58 football matches were played throughout the season, evenly split between girls' and boys' teams. The event concluded with the best students and teams receiving cash prizes and sports equipment, recognizing their excellence and encouraging continued participation in future activities.
