Nayala/Tabaski: “Sacrificing Sheep is Not Obligatory for Those Who Do Not Have the Means,” Says Assami Par©

Nayala: Moalim Assami Par© indicated Friday at the great mosque of Toma, during the Eid-El-Kebir prayer that the sacrifice of the sheep is not obligatory for those who do not have the means. In his sermon, Moalim Assami Par© emphasized that the sacrifice of the sheep is not an obligation for Muslim faithful who do not have the financial means to buy a sheep.



According to Burkina Information Agency, he recalled the story of Tabaski, referring to the prophet Abraham, who, in obedience to God, agreed to sacrifice his son, but God, seeing his faith, replaced the son with a sheep. He also explained the spiritual value of sheep sacrifice to the Muslim faithful of Toma.



Moalim Assami Par© also prayed for the success of students in the various school exams and wished a good agricultural season to the producers of the Nayala province, while calling for peace and unity in the country.



Present at the prayer, the High Commissioner of the province of Nayala, Honor© Fr©d©ric Par©, expressed his solidarity with the Muslim community and encouraged sharing between neighbors. He took the opportunity to thank the defense and security forces for their commitment to protecting the province.



The Eid al-Adha prayer ended with wishes of peace and prosperity to all Muslim faithful, with the hope of experiencing future festivities in serenity.
