Nayala: 2,541 candidates from Nayala province began taking the Primary School Leaving Certificate (CEP) and entrance exams for 6th grade on Tuesday. The exams were launched by the High Commissioner of Nayala province, Honor© Fr©d©ric Par©, at the Toma South center in the Toma Basic Education District (CEB).

According to Burkina Information Agency, the provincial director of preschool, primary and non-formal education in Nayala, Thomas Garan©, reported that the province registered 2,541 candidates this year, including 1,315 girls and 1,226 boys. The candidates are divided into six juries, sixteen centers, and fifty-four composition rooms.

For the organisation of the 2026 session, 413 actors were mobilized, including 140 supervisors, 156 correctors, 30 secretaries, and 87 accompanying teachers. Compared to the 2025 session, which had 2,139 candidates, the number of candidates increased by 402. The number of juries also increased from four to six. This increase is explained by the gradual reopening of schools thanks to the improved security situation in the province.

Innovations for the 2026 session include the introduction of civic and moral education assessment and the harmonization of the marking schedule for tests at the national level. The High Commissioner encouraged the candidates to remain focused, to have confidence in themselves, and to rely on the knowledge acquired during their schooling. The trials began in an atmosphere of serenity and tranquility.
