ADDIS ABABA: A delegation of media organization leaders and professionals has lauded the recently inaugurated National Palace Museum in Addis Ababa, noting its role in showcasing Ethiopia’s ancient civilization and grandeur. The museum, which will soon open to the public, offers a comprehensive narrative that spans the country’s rich history and cultural heritage.

According to Ethiopian News Agency, NBC-Ethiopia CEO Biruk Kebede praised the museum’s ability to present Ethiopia’s history from “yesterday, today, and to tomorrow,” emphasizing the importance of making this heritage accessible to the present generation. He highlighted the meticulous preservation of artifacts and the museum’s role in helping the younger generation understand their origins and future possibilities.

Capital Newspaper Managing Editor Tigist Yilma noted that the museum effectively conveys Ethiopia’s rich history and heritage to future generations. She highlighted its potential impact on the tourism sector by allowing foreign visitors to witness Ethiopia’s grandeur firsthand. With the museum located in Addis Ababa, tourists can now experience Ethiopian history without traveling to more remote historical sites.

Nahu Television Manager Idossa Kejella described the museum as a testament to Ethiopia’s dignity, offering invaluable lessons for future generations and accurately portraying the nation’s stature. Fana Media Corporation’s Channel Two Executive Emerta Asfaw added that the museum provides an opportunity to reflect on Ethiopia’s heritage and inspire progress among the younger generation.

The National Palace Museum’s inauguration, attended by Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed and other high-ranking government officials, marks a significant cultural milestone for Ethiopia.
