Nathalie Yamb Urges Vigilance and Mobilization in Niger’s Struggle Against Western Imperialism

Niamey – Pan-Africanist activist Nathalie Yamb encouraged Nigeriens to stay alert and engaged in their ongoing battle against Western imperialism, highlighting their role as exemplars in this profound struggle during a visit to Niamey on Tuesday.

According to Burkina Information Agency, Yamb emphasized the importance of sustained effort over time to secure lasting victories in the fight for emancipation. “We must remain mobilized, we must remain vigilant, and we must ensure that each stage victory is sustained so that it is not just a victory of 2 weeks, a year, or 2 years, but that in 1000 years, we are still talking about what you have conquered,” Yamb stated during her address.

Yamb, who is also known as the ‘Knight of Niger’, alongside Kemi Séba, another anti-colonialist activist, met with Niger’s President, General Abdourahamane Tiani, Prime Minister Lamine Zeine, and officials from the National Council for the Protection of the Homeland (CNSD). The activists’ visit aimed to reaffirm the importance of vigilance and mobilization against external pressures and influences.

The visit also included participation from Abdourahamane Oumarou, also known as Abder, an active member of Nigerien civil society.
