Ouagadougou: Pan-Africanist activist Nathalie Yamb expressed her gratitude to President Ibrahim Traoré on Sunday for being elevated to the rank of Knight of the Order of the Stallion. In addition, she addressed and dismissed rumors regarding her alleged appointment as a special advisor to the head of state.
According to Burkina Information Agency, Nathalie Yamb took to her Facebook page at midday on Sunday to thank President Traoré for the honor bestowed upon her. She emphasized her appreciation for being recognized with such a distinguished title.
Yamb also used the platform to refute widespread reports circulating about her supposed role as a special advisor to the President of Burkina Faso. She labeled these reports as “fake news” and attributed them to disinformation efforts.
She further elaborated that these disinformation campaigns are attempting to shift focus away from crucial issues such as the battle against Western-sponsored terrorists, the pursuit of national sovereignty, and the recent inaugur
ation of the Thomas Sankara Mausoleum.
