NASA and SpaceX Set Sunday for Crew-8 Mission Return from ISS

CAIRO — NASA and its commercial partner SpaceX have scheduled the return of their eighth crew rotation mission from the International Space Station (ISS) for no earlier than Sunday, October 13, amid careful monitoring of weather conditions due to Hurricane Milton.

According to Namibia Press Agency, the mission, known as "Crew-8," involves NASA astronauts Matthew Dominick, Michael Barratt, and Jeanette Epps, along with Alexander Grebenkin of Roscosmos. This team has been aboard the ISS since their launch on March 3 from NASA's Kennedy Space Center in Florida. The return date is contingent on favorable weather conditions as Hurricane Milton continues to affect the Florida peninsula.

This mission marks NASA’s eighth commercial crew rotation with SpaceX to the space station, highlighting the ongoing collaboration between NASA and SpaceX in advancing the United States' capabilities in space.
