Narok Governor Reshuffles CECMs to Enhance Service Delivery

Narok: Narok County Governor, Patrick Ole Ntutu, has announced a County Executive Committee Member (CECM) reshuffle aimed at streamlining service delivery and accelerating the county's development agenda. Speaking on Friday during a press briefing at the county headquarters in Narok town, Governor Ntutu said that the changes are intended to enhance efficiency, strengthen coordination within the executive, and improve service delivery to the local residents.

According to Kenya News Agency, following the resignation of the County Executive Committee Member for Public Works, Roads and Transport, John Gatua, the governor has nominated Kool Kuntai Isaac to take over the docket. Kool will, however, be required to undergo vetting and approval by the County Assembly before assuming his new responsibilities.

In the reshuffle, the CECM for Lands, Housing and Urban Development, Vivian Sereti, was transferred to Public Health and Sanitation, while Anthony Senchura took over her former portfolio. Education, Sports, Gender and Social Services CECM, Robert Kipngetich, was moved to the Tourism, Wildlife and Culture docket as Johnson Saruni took over the education portfolio.

The County boss also confirmed that Chief Officers appointed in 2022, whose three-year contracts had lapsed, have been retained and confirmed to continue serving in their respective departments. He urged the residents to support the revamped County leadership, saying that public cooperation will be key to ensuring efficient service delivery and meeting the development needs of the people.
