Nanoro Special Delegation Commences 2026 Ordinary Sessions


Nanoro: The Special Delegation of the municipality of Nanoro held its first ordinary session of the year on Monday, March 30, in the town hall meeting room, AIB observed. This inaugural session of 2026 focused on several strategic points for the life of the municipality, including the amendment and adoption of the minutes of the 4th ordinary session of 2025; the presentation of the reports of the economic and financial affairs committee, the president of the delegation and the authorizing officer; the examination and adoption of the administrative account and the management account for 2025; the discussion on the involvement of members in the mobilization of local resources; the adoption of the first amending budget for the 2026 financial year; new measures as well as information and miscellaneous items.



According to Burkina Information Agency, during the discussions, the delegation assessed the priority challenges. The discussions highlighted urgent needs for infrastructure and basic social services, including access to drinking water and the drilling of boreholes; the construction of latrines and civil registry buildings; and the renovation of health centers (clinics), schools, and market infrastructure.



The head of the special delegation, Nourou Guiguemd©, urged members to be more vigilant in monitoring activities to ensure their effectiveness on the ground. Emphasizing the duty of accountability to the people, he called on each member to demonstrate rigor and cultivate a culture of “quality work” for the harmonious development of the municipality.
