Windhoek: President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah has raised concern over what she described as over-regulation in Namibia, saying persistent bottlenecks continue to hinder progress. She made the remarks during a visit to Dinapama Manufacturing and Supplies in Windhoek on Tuesday. Nandi-Ndaitwah underscored the need for gradual reforms within government to create a more conducive environment for growth.
According to Namibia Press Agency, Nandi-Ndaitwah expressed that the current laws are excessively cumbersome and not suited for a developing country. She emphasized the importance of reforms to align and transform the economy, noting that the primary challenge is not financial but rather a shift in mindset.
Nandi-Ndaitwah highlighted that the focus should be on reforming governmental frameworks to enhance the business climate. She reiterated that persistent bottlenecks continue to impede progress and that addressing these challenges is essential for achieving balanced prosperity for all.
