Windhoek: The Namibia Post Limited (NamPost) has announced the payment schedule for the collection of social cash grants for January 2026, providing clarity to beneficiaries across the country ahead of the new year.

According to Namibia Press Agency, NamPost released a statement outlining specific collection dates for different categories of grants to ensure an orderly and efficient payment process at post offices nationwide.

Beneficiaries using NamPost SmartCards will be able to collect their grants from 06 to 08 January 2026. This category includes recipients who receive their payments electronically through the SmartCard system.

The collection of Old Age and Disability Grants is scheduled for 12 to 14 January 2026. Child Cash Grant payments will follow from 15 to 17 January 2026. The final category, Basic Income Cash Grants, will be paid out between 19 and 20 January 2026, concluding the January grant disbursement cycle.

Social cash grants remain a critical source of support for thousands of vulnerable Namibians, assisting with basic needs such as food, healthcare, and education. NamPost reaffirmed its commitment to ensuring the timely and reliable distribution of grants in collaboration with relevant government ministries, the statement added.
